Chocobo's dungeon is probably the best roguelike available for the next gen consoles (also probably the only one other than Baroque). The graphics arent as stunning as they could possibly be, but they're still very good, and they are meant to look cute. As far as sound goes, this is probably the best soundtrack in any roguelike, ever. Gameplay is great. Turn based, grid based, and the chocobo's powers and combat ability differ greatly depending on which class is used (Thief and White Mage all the way!). It's also rather long for a roguelike, and follows a specific storyline. and if the normal dungeons aren't enough of a challenge for you (they are rather easy, especially in the beginning) You can challenge the special rule dungeons.
Overall a great game, well worth its $40 price tag.
