Is it a monster (truck)?
Yes, shamefully taken from the comments of the actual C3 review. But yeah, if there's one thing about this game that is really satisfying, its the massive trucks going flying into the air. The graphics are quite impressive and the gameplay is decent, but the sound is really generic and there isn't that much to do. Ah well.
Altogether decent.

Excite Truck is a high speed, highly unrealistical, offroad driving game. Normally the word unrealistic has a negative vibe to it, but this is not the case with Excite Trucks. Excite Truck ditches the realism and puts gameplay in the front seat. This game is all about fast, furious and addictive fun.
The first thing that jumped at me when I picked up the control and started playing was how easy it felt, yet it left room for alot of perfection on my own part, which is what I love about this game.
Most people's complaint goes on that this is a short game. This is something that I really can't relate to, as this game is not a story driven driving game like the latest Need For Speed games, this is a pure fun racing game, with a competitive edge to it. Its set up for you to keep playing the tracks in order to beat yourself and others scores and times, its not a "once-through" experience, but a good old fashioned high score game.
The games level design is really great, these levels and how the gameplay is set up is classic arcade style, they are both fun and leave much to be perfected from the players part.
The graphics plays a minor role in the game, the game should get some acclaim for its texture rendering, you'll never see textures popping up and when you're sent sky rocketing and get a full view of the entire map its actually a little stunning. The graphics are good enough to give you a real feel for the serious speed and action.
This being said, the game does have its downsides, the obvious and biggest is online multiplayer and the lack thereof. This game would simply be amazing if such a feature was implemented and done right, this is something Nintendo will and must fix for the next game, which I think is inevitable.
All in all a great and long lasting game, and along with The Legend Of Zelda and WarioWare, a good reason for getting a Wii.
