I don't think Mario Golf is the one for me, I can hardly imagine it being quick paced & fun, but somehow it is for people who have played it, Mario Tennis is definitely my kind of game, especially this GBA version, made by the GENIUSES behind Golden Sun.

This is an RPG game about a newcomer to a top class Tennis Academy (called Royal Academy) as he/she works their way to the top of the top, the best in the world at Tennis.

The graphical style is SO similar to Golden Sun's you won't actually believe it until you play! The storyline, though it being short, is really good, & much more in depth than the GBC version.

The graphics are also really good for GBA, with good 3D renderings for the Tennis matches, & those of you who hated the Power Shots in the GC version may be slightly put off, but don't be, as they're really good & not so OTT in this game, you will actually need to use them at the end of the game if you want to survive, but at the first few hourse of gameplay they're non existent, the story goes only the strongest of players can have the power to use them, so naturally you won't encounter anyone with them until about 1/2 way through the game.

If you can't complete all the things in Training, don't be put off, I couldn't do them either, but keep trying anyway, do it for the Experience points! The level up system in this game is a lot better than in the last, & less harsh, you have 2 sets of stats, 1st & 2nd, each being seperate, so one could rise as another falls, better than the last.

Later in the game you'll get to play a LOT of really addictive mini games that have NOTHING to do with Tennis, they raise your power so you can get power shots, & the fact that you have to work to get them makes them better to use, haters won't hate them nearly as much!

Also, fans of the old Mario Tennis for GBC will be pleased that most of the characters from the old game appear to, Nina, Kate, Alex & Harry are now trainers & coaches (although Harry doesn't seem to do ANYTHING but talk about Kate's powerful bum :lolSmilie

You can also play as EVERY pwerson you play against in Story mode, if you scroll to Exhibition mode on the main screens, you can play as any of the available Mario characters & the story mode rivals & characters.

You can't play as Yoshi in this game, he isn't in there at all Smilie
