I love this game, and i love the sequal even more. Its a shame it didn't sell well and i can't see why cubed 3 gave it a bad review...
Its 2 disks which indicates its loing...about 70 hours gameplay. Most of the story line is spoken though the BGM can get in the way and sometimes its hard to hear what they are syaing.
The battle system uses cards...Most people discard this game as soon as they hear the wordds "card game". But it doesn't feel like you're playing a card game and it works really well. There millions of bosses.Literally. One every 20 minutes or so. And in 70 hours...thats a lot.

I think this game is a good game, there is not a big selection when it comes to RPG's for the cube. But this game I rated it an 8 the gameplay is good, the graphics are great, the controls are simple. I have only one complaint about this game and it is that it is card based, Sometimes the game doesnt shuffle the deck in time and your in the middle of a heated boss battle and you CANT defend yourself, in turn you lose a ton of HP points, or your character faints even. Besides this i say the game is worth Purchasing, i hope that this problem is fixed in Origins

I rated this a 4 out of 10,
now first off let me say the graphics in this game was really preety to look at, especcally that town made out of cake(yummy cake). The story was very orginal, but lacked something..i cant put my finger on...
although that is my main problem with BK, its the battle system, i jsut cant get to grips with it at all, it was very furstrating, cant you just make a simple Battle system next time namco?

I wrote my review a while ago and it got baleeted... gar...
Backgrounds detailed, but they are still pictures like RE games 0-3. Lots of composed music and sound effects do their job. Voice quality, well, Xelha reminds me of GO YAFFA commercial. Look it up and see if you like that voice or not.
The plot does seem unique because it's about a guy with a broken wing, but I haven't gone far into it so I'll leave it at average. There is supposedly a HUGE twist in the middle of the game... If only I could get myself to play.
Gameplay revolves around touching wandering enemy in field, going to battle area, choosing some cards watching. Honestly, I just chose the cards that I had and that doesn't take much thought. There probably is depth to this game like deck building, but I felt like this sword was just that sword.
I guess the graphics are impressive, music is great, I didn't get to see the entire plot, but I found the gameplay repetitive because it is dependent on your stats, not whether you outsmarted or outpaced your enemy.
Again, my scores reflect how I look at games. I either love, accept or hate them. With that understanding, you'll see why I gave the scores I did.

I know i ahve given it all tens but thats because i really think this game ahs great potential.
It is the latest japanese rpg and there haven't been many good ones for quite some time i would say this is probaly one of the ebst games namco has ever made.
And the length and depth of hardwork put into this game really shows it is a shame that the american voiceovers ruined it score slightly but to those who don't really care then it don't amtter really.
ut the thing is its a really great game weather your sovling a puzzle to battling your heart away.
anyone who likes tradisional japanese rpg will love this game.
