Wow, fifa actually gets it right for once. Great controls, first touch movement is tricky to get used to but once you do it's amazing. All the usual AAA presentation and some great games can be played.

Downers, yet again the CPU doesn't foul enough and will play like a CPU instead of a human. On high difficulty levels the team just has higher stast by the looks of things instead of actually playing better football. BUt apart from that it is still teh best footy game on the GC.

I really quite liked FIFA Football 2004, but this latest iteration takes the Michael a bit in my opinion. It may look great and have the potential to last forever, but the gameplay simply isn't up to much at all. The much-touted 'first touch' system just doesn't work, and when compared to Pro Evo 4, or even FIFA 2004 it pales in comparison.

EA have tried too hard to put in too much and consequently FIFA Football 2005 is a messy combination of nice ideas, poor execution and a blatant lack of knowledge as to what is most important in a football game: real footie, not rigid, predictable 10-0 scorelines over and over again...
