I have personally never really liked fighting games. not until SSBM. this game is so simplistic yet at the same time it is very addicting and fun the multiplayer mode is definately the highlight of this game, you can enjoy fast paced action with 3 of your friends. the single player mode isn't very good at all, to me it almost seems like they forced themselves to come up with one just to make the game more"complete" and the end result wasn't all that creative, long, or enjoyable. the event mode isn't too bad though, the way they create special curcumstances in the game to try and master was a good idea. anyway in multiplayer mode some of the best things are: 1) the soomthness of the controls, you never have to think about how your gona do some stupid complex combo, your hands just know where all the buttons are. its very simple which makes alot more fun in a way. 2) The charecters have alot of thought put into each one of them, they all have different advantages and diadvanteges - their all completely unique. they all look cool and have one definate advantege. theres no good charecters, or any bad charecters, a charecter you can play with the first time you turn the game on is no worse then the final charecter you unlock, a good player with lots of practice can be just as good with all of them - this is actully a sign of skill because you SHOULD be able to play well with all of them when you good. the levels are all very well polished and full of things from nintendos past, every charecter has their own level and some of them of them have 2 or 3. all the level are fun for their own reason and you could play for hours on any of them. the items are a nice addition, but detract somewhat from the skill reqiured to beat your opponent. I play with them off for most of the time. the different options for multiplayer are astounding and every individual will develop thier own favorite after a while. this is an excellent game and can be played almost forever without getting old. wonderful game and Its certainly onethat must be added to your cube collection.
