OfflineI hate all parking wardens. They can all go to Hell. I'm house-sitting at the moment and I'm parked outside as the home-owners car is in the drive. No-one else parks anywhere near my car and I'm not causing a nuisance or anything. But I've been fined

I bought my first car on Friday. ![]()
Renault Clio Dynamique with new alloys, new tires, new brakes, Pioneer sound system, speakers in the parcel bay above the boot and in shexcy metallic midnight blue.
I'm really happy with it and it drives like a dream. Most of my weekend has been spent driving around in circles trying to figure out where I'm getting lost. So, to solve this, I bought a sat nav.
Still manage to get lost though - it's an art form.
I'm still really excited and am itching for my mates to get back from their travels so we can go on roadtrips up and down the country during the summer. Should be ace.
I'm also ecstatic about Glenn Roeder's resignation from Newcastle United and the impending arrival of Big Sam. He should lead us on the right road to recovery after several shakey seasons since Sir Bob left. Which leads me onto my final point - Get well soon, Sir Bob. You've beaten cancer four times before, you can do it a fifth!
Well, since it seems to be the current trend, I'd like to promote my podcast which is, somewhat unoriginally titled, the Jamie Mercer Show.
Basically, me and my mates poke fun at Phil "the Idiot" Mahoney as we're astounded at what he comes up with. We check out what he's been doing and find out what his opinions are on a variety of different subjects. It started off as a Media Studies project and I stuck it on my website for a laugh but it took off a bit and it's getting downloaded a fair bit.
I'm aware that the sound quality isn't the greatest but it doesn't sound too bad if you've got headphones on. Anyway, I'd really appreciate it if you'd check it out (Season 2; Episode 1 is the shortest one so check that if you don't want to waste too much of your time).
On the link below you can either download the shows and listen to them at your leisure or use the flash player to listen to them there and then.
If you've got anything you want to be discussed on the show such as questions for Phil or topics to be raised or even just some comments on the show then please feel free to send an email to: podcast
Currently, jamiemercer.com is down but that should be sorted promptly. Till then, I'll leave you with a link to the podcast 'hub' with all of the available episodes on it.
Thanks for your time. ![]()

Picked one of these up today as the DS Lite's let's-make-the-cartridge-stick-out-far-too-much feature made me angry. Anyway, yeah, a silver Micro is only

Huzzah!
Y'know how I keep going on about the film Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy? Y'know, one of the funniest films around. Ever. Well, I'm going to be an Anchorman myself apparently. ![]()
One of my modules, "Introduction to the TV Studio", requires groups to produce a 10 minute long news show to be broadcast live around the campus and immediate area. I was off on Friday so I missed getting sorted into a group and given a role but everything has been organised and apparently I'm going to be the anchorman. ![]()
I'm feeling quite excited...
Pardon the lame pun. I'm extremely ill at the moment with a sever cold. I've got the whole works: A leaking nose, puffed up eyes, seemingly constant sneezing and speaking like I've got an orange in my mouth.
Anyway, excuses aside, I'm very excited. I preordered a Wii in HMV today and am 21 on the list. They reckon they're getting 30 in so I'm unofficially guaranteed one on launch. ![]()
I also picked up a 30Gb iPod which is positively lovely. It was a toss up between this and the Zen Vision M but the iPod won on the looks front, the fact that it is significantly thinner and that it fits better in an inside pocket. I'm dead chuffed with it though - a lovely bit of kit.
I've just raided the second-hand section of my Uni Campus' book shop and got 3 good books for around
Is it wrong I want one sooooo much?
