    Anybody want some snow?

As some of you may know, I live in Austria and winters are always fun around here. We didn't have much snow the past few years but this year it's getting out of control. It's been snowing all day for three days and there's no sign of it stopping any time soon. I didn't have anything better to do, so I took some pictures with my 1337 digital camera aka Nintendo 3DS. Basically, imagine some guy running around in that mess with his 3DS only wearing shorts, a T-shirt and shoes while all neighbours are busy shovelling snow. Too bad nobody saw me, I would have loved to see the looks on their faces. XD

Stairs that go down to our garage. Looks more like a pit right now though.

There's about 1 meter (or more) of snow everywhere you look, thankfully not on the streets though. Even with a reasonably cleared street, it's still hell to drive up this hillside I live on. If anything is in your way and you're forced to slow down, you're basically screwed. Same problem if you're driving downwards, since you can cause someone to get stuck just by being on the street too and if one car gets stuck you're automatically stuck too as the street is usually only half as wide during a snowy winter. So yeah, driving a car around here is a lot of fun right now.

The houses in the red circle mark the point where you have to start driving upwards...

View from the inside of our garage.

Yes, that is in fact a street.

I doubt this thing can endure any more snow on its roof before it collapses. Already looking forward to shovelling the snow off it after lunch...

View of our garden from our terrace.

Thankfully, this massive amount of snow also has a positive aspect for me. With so much snow (that isn't already rock solid) in our garden, I can go apeshit with my katana on that huge hill of snow you can see in the above picture. XD Last time I did that I lasted about 15 minutes outside, again only wearing shorts, a T-shirt and shoes. Took a while to recover from that though, so I might want to wear some winter clothing this time around.

So, anybody want some of this snow? I'll give you a nice discount. Smilie Seriously though, how are things where you guys live? No snow but you want some? Satisfied with how things are? I'd like to know. Smilie

Had news from my family in Switzerland today. Situation there is about the same.

However Austria was at the center of the news even here in Belgium today, on TV, showing people stuck in the snow and unable to go back home after their vacation there (since the two weeks of school holidays end today and most people are heading back home today)

Here, we haven't had any snow since a few weeks back and there were only a measly few centimeters even back then. I like snow, and I wouldn't mind some. However driving on it is too dangerous so i can't really wish for some to fall here...

Not had a single flake of snow at all here, it's been a really mild year overall. :/

Like Ikana said, it's been pretty lame in the UK. All we've had is a lot of hailstone and I mean a lot. It snowed once but it didn't settle. But it's been getting really cold as of late so hopefully there's still a chance of heavy snow.

You should send some of those pictures to us in Letterbox because I can tell they'll look awesome in 3D.

Ohh, damn. I don't think I had 3D turned on when I took those pictures, but I can always take some more if you guys want. Not like this snow is going anywhere anytime soon. Smilie Gotta free that shed from all the snow first though, it won't last much longer at this rate.

You have to unlock something to send 3D pictures on the Letterbox, right? I must be completely blind because I still haven't found out where you can do all that...

There hasn't been any snow down where I live unfortunately, though we do tend to get it mid feb occasionally. Last year we had it fairly early in december, but nothing so far.

I'm enjoying this warmer winter. Much nicer for my body, I wouldn't want it any other way.

Just spent like 1,5 hours outside shovelling snow off that shed, our hedge which already partly collapsed due to the weight of the snow and obviously the driveway. Pretty boring stuff, so I had to spice it up a little.

There's truly nothing quite like jumping into a hill of snow head first. Smilie

Also sent some pictures on Letterbox, though I don't think they turned out all that well. So much white makes it hard to see anything. Smilie
