wireless trouble

what the hell does ping mean, when i play psp online and create my own room it says i have 0 ping and i do have wireless

then i scanned and i got 100% and i was in the thing where it shows all the rooms, but when i try to enter it says its full or cant play in this room in this moment

what the hell does ping mean
