Goodbye, my friend.

I am feeling a bit down, my longtime friend left the country. I first met her during my 2nd semester of uni, as she was doing exchange from Japan. She liked the country so much, she decided to complete her degree here. We became pretty good friends over the years, purely platonic. This semester was her last one however, and we found each others in each others company a lot more. We started to doing things together without the rest of the group. We were always close, but over last semester we had become even closer. Leading up to her departure,
I started noticing that the way she looked at me, was different. During outings, she always sit on my side, cuddling up against me. On one the last days, we all decided to celebrate together with the rest of the group. That night, she grabbed my hand tightly under the tables the whole night. I was unable to see her on our last day (family emergency)... she called me up crying. She told me she really wanted to see me. I apologized and farewelled her. I went to sleep... woke up the next morning to see a message from her... telling me she loved me......

I got a Wiiiiiiiiiii!

Finally and about time, I had underestimated Wii's popularity. It was almost sold out. JB hi-fi had some deal where the console would come bundled with Metroid Prime, sold out. I looked everywhere else, sold out. Only kmart had some left and where selling the console by itself (with wii sports of course) for $50 cheaper than the rest. So I just got that and then went off to buy Metroid Prime for $70. I currently only have one controller, but I will be getting a few later.
So far I am loving Metroid Prime and hating Wii sports haha. It took me a while to get used to the controls, but it was worth it in the end. Its bit of a shame there's no game for my little sister to play since MP is too hard and Wii sports is too shit, so maybe I ought not have bought MP first. Ah well, its all good for me anyway.

I've caved in... I shall get a Wii now and 360 later. In fact, I will get it straight after my finals exams. I've found a pretty good deal, Wii console standard stuff + extra controller + Wii bag + Brain Age Wii for $400 AUD. Not too shabby, also I am getting zelda for $70 aud plus a free nun chuck. Can't wait...
