Link to the Past

Now Playing: Legend of Zelda Link to the past

Well I was going to pick up Dead Rising for the 360 today, but has I was looking at the retro section in Gamestation I saw LoZ:LttP with the box and instruction booklet still in good condition so I walked out with that instead.

I got it home and I read through the instuction booklet and pulled out my SNES and slapped the catridge in and wow was I impressed. It's the kind of game that gives you that funny feeling if you know what I mean, physicully the game looks great and the music up to now. Another thing I like is the attention to detail like the arrows that get stuck in the wall and links facial expressions when he tries to push something he can't.

So far I have the first pendent and i've only been playing it for around an hour and I can see why some people rate it has the best Zelda game.

Wii had fun

Now Playing: Tony Hawks Downhill Jam
Now Listening to: The best of Bond James Bond
Now Watching: Casino Royale

Well today I finally got to play the Wii at the Bullring in Birmingham and it was fantastic. So there were four games on offer which were LoZ, Warioware, Wii sports and Excite truck and I managed to play them all which was great.

First I'll start off with LoZ. Me and my mate waited in line for about 1 hour and a half to play it and during that time we played our DS's so it wasn't bad. Anyway our time came so I stepped up to play the dungeon demo and wanted to show how great I was but I ended up making an arse of myself and it didn't help when the women next to me didn't give me a hand. But to really rub the salt in the wounds she kicked me off after not even to minutes when everyone one else go 20 minutes and I didn't even start from the begining. It was the same story for my mate besides the fact he did a better job then me. So I never really got to play this.

After walking around with that sour taste in my mouth we went back and tried Warioware which had a small line. This was fantastic I had so much fun even if the crowd were laughing at me, I think the best thing about this was it was so simple to use.

Then me and my mate went to play Wii sports, we wanted to play tennis but the women wouldn't let use so we had to play boxing. This ended up to be great fun even though he won but I did manage to hit him in the balls. The thing I like the most about this was the Mii's facial expressions when they got hit and the sweat driping from the face.

Then before we left we got to try Excite trucks. I really enjoyed this, it was fast and smashing into the cars was great fun. I really hope that they add a online feature to this because it would make a great online multiplayer.

I don't know if im the only person but I really found the Legend of Zelda really hard to get used too although it probabully didnt help with me not starting from the begining, but I need to sit down and really play this. another thing I couldn't believe was how responsive, light and comfortable the Wiimote was. But besides the fact we got kicked off really early on the Legend of Zelda demo it was a great day out. Also this was my first ever blog so be nice.
