Rare has dismissed recent claims that there's issues with the Microsoft-owned studio producing titles for Nintendo's DS.
With Rare titles appearing on both the GameBoy Advance and DS, it had appeared fine for both parties to accept development on what's not a rival console. However, recent reports had suggested that there may have still been issues for Viva Pinata being shrunk down for Nintendo's DS.
Viva Pinata originally appeared on Microsoft's Xbox 360, a sequel is currently in the works.
Pocket Paradise producer Paul Machacek stated in a recent interview with IGN that "Due to the game's broad appeal, it makes sense for this game to be on the Nintendo DS. After all, Microsoft is not only focused on selling platforms but also building great IP. We have no conflict in the handheld market and have been quite happy to continue producing games for it."
