Nintendo have banned the use of any Miis named Hitler from Mario Kart Wii's online mode.
According to GoNintendo, anyone trying to enter a race using a Mii with the name, will see this screen;
This is mainly because of possible offense being caused to others whilst playing, although it isn't clear if this rule has been applied to any other online Mii uses, such as the Mii Contest Channel.
A sensible move, or another unneeded bit of censorship? Have your say below.

Yeah, but I guess it can't be helped. I would be hard to filter a Mii through appearance. Not everyone called Hitler looks like Adolf Hitler obviously, but there isn't a way to censor that.

Anyway there is a warning the first time you start mario kart about using your real name on wi-fi.

OfflineUnneeded censorship. Purely being named Hitler is hardly enough to offend anyone. I recommend that everyone change their Mii names to Himmler (after Heinrich Himmler, one of the top-flight Nazis), as an act of protest.

Unneeded. Terribly stupid, if you ask me. I don\'t see what the big deal is. He was a dude from a whole bunch of years ago who killed people. Lots of people did that. I mean, I know he killed a lot of people. So did Anatoly Onoprienko, who killed 59 people. Besides, how does the mere mention of Hitler\'s name offend anyone? I think it\'s silly, really. I\'m renaming my Mii to Goebbels
