C.O.R.E Comes Blasting Onto Nintendo DS
Recent News
Conspiracy Entertainment Europe has announced that it has secured the European publishing rights from NoWay Studio, Poland, to its latest release C.O.R.E. The game is a dynamic fast-paced, action-packed, first-person shooter for Nintendo DS that will be instantly familiar to everyone who loves classic single player / team based shooter games.
For the last 11 months, NoWay Studio has been busy pushing the limits of the Nintendo DS with full 3D animations and visual effects. This title is the first to bring the true FPS experience of PC gaming to the Nintendo DS. The team has created a complex structure of buildings, complete with underground passageways and chambers where players can roam freely battling with a variety of enemies and bosses. Each of the levels is introduced by an in-game movie setting out the objective ahead. Each building or tunnels complex can be completed in a variety of ways allowing the players to discover new weapons, passageways, hiding places and solutions every time the game is played.
As a marine, you are sent on a mission into the government C.O.R.E. lab complex, which was built on the site of a meteor that smashed into the desert some 20 years ago. The facility was built so that government scientists could investigate the impact and everything had been going to plan until two weeks earlier when all contact was lost. The player's mission is to investigate why contact has been lost with the facility, but it will be one filled with danger throughout. The lab covers many levels with offices above ground and chambers below dug deep into the desert bedrock. The final solution will take place deep down underneath the earth where it is believed that the scientists tunnelled into the remains of the meteor itself. When you and your team reach the final level you will have to face a danger that is a threat for the whole of Mankind.

- The detailed world in side the base will require players to master interactive tools like switches, controllers, access cards and video cameras.

noneLooks good, it would be really nice with a smooth FPS on DS. I hope the controls will work smoothly too.

noneWow, the graphics look to be very nice indeed! Aslong as the control system is easy enough to use.
I feel we could very well be looking at either Ecks vs. Sever's natural successor,or we could be looking at Golden Eye Ds mrk2

James2t3Looks pretty generic, but more FPS on the DS is welcome.

echoesThe DS and the Wii are seriously lacking in the FPS areas with the best being the Metroid Prime on both systems, and some from the Resident Evil gang and Ubisoft (Red Steel).
Now with the Conduit in development for Wii and C.O.R.E being derveloped for the DS we could see a pick up of FPS.
From the descriptions above C.O.R.E sounds like it could be made into a very decent game with lots of depth and action.
Lets hope they framerate is good and The online is lag free. They also need to make sure the controls work flawlessly, Using the L button to shoot works, but it cramps your hand (it also killed my original DS's L button completely) so maybe a possible alternative may come into play.
This very well turn out to be one of the DS's best Shooters. (or one of the only)( Edited 22.05.2008 19:15 by Echoes221 )
