This Week's Virtual Console updates

By Shane Jury 30.05.2008 6

Alongside the Nintendo Channel up for download today, Nintendo have given us three new Virtual Console games to buy, including a Neo Geo classic and an N64 oddity.

First up is Pokemon Puzzle League made by Nintendo, originally for the Nintendo 64. Inspired by the great puzzler Tetris Attack, this Pokemon game is one of the few to be directly influenced by the cartoon series of the same name. Can be yours for 1000 Wii points.

Next up is a Neo Geo title, Burning Fight from SNK, a game that pays homage to classic scrolling beat-em-ups like Streets of Rage and Final Fight. 900 Wii points and it's all yours.

And last but not least, another Neo Geo game made by SNK, Samurai Showdown, a defining moment of the system. This game could stand tall amongst the other games of its genre at its time of release, like Street Fighter 2 for example. Only 900 Wii Points.

Any of these you plan to get? Have your say below.

Thanks to Linkyshinks for the tip.

Not Samurai Showdown, it's the best Neo Geo game released so far. It does not play like SF2 but it is as good as imo. 2 is much better tho.

Ah but I hate fighter games like street fighter so it probably wouldn't appeal to me.

No wii ware?

I was hoping for Wiiware aswell as the VC update. Nothing really interests me out of those three games, but Samurai Shodown could be one to get in the future as its meant to be pretty class.

No Smash Bros 64, then it sucks. Thats like the only game I want from VC now along with Majoras Mask. That was crap, again!

My pictures wont appear so heres a smiley
