Mega Man Blasts onto DS Once More

By Jorge Ba-oh 01.06.2008 5

Capcom have confirmed that Mega Man Star Force will be returning with a third instalment for DS.

IGN have revealed developer Capcom's plans to continue the Star Force series with a new outing on Nintendo's handheld.

The second iteration in the trilogy is due to arrive in June in North America with Europeans able to play with the blue wonder later this year.

Aside from a preliminary project name, Star Force 3, and a basic website with art and wallpapers, not much is currently known about the title.

Mega Man Star Force 3 is due for release towards the end of 2008, or early next year.

Clearly the fact that the Megaman Star Force 2 duo in Japan bombed compared to the first outing (~250,000 sold compared to ~600,000). Long gone are the days when the Battle Network/Megaman EXE GBA series would sell around a million in Japan each time.

Heard some info on this and I'm liking how the series is going, even though I've only played the first one (second one aint out >.<) but number 2 looks bloody awesome and I'm sure they will keep it good Smilie
