No Nintendo in New Zealand

By Jorge Ba-oh 03.06.2008 3

Nintendo's Wii situation in New Zealand has hit an unexpected blip with supplier Softprint's stock being seized.

The company had been Nintendo and Activision's distributor in New Zealand until now but unfortunately it seems that they won't be supplying Nintendo products due to debtors turning up at their doors last Friday, according to Geek Pulp.

The situation seems unclear at present; though it's likely Nintendo would have something up their sleeves to rectify the situation without leaving New Zealand in the lurch. Be sure to stick with C3 for updates.

Speaking as a NZ Wii owner I hope Nintendo will do something. My partner and I only picked our Wii on the weekend and we love it. Is Softprint supplying both Australia and New Zealand? I was under the understanding that it was only supplying New Zealand.

Not Australia, well at least its not the sole supplier.

WHAT! What's going to happen then!! Do they handle game releases as well?!? Smilie
