Square Enix's 'Game With No Name' hits Japan on 3rd July and a new trailer has been released to promote it. Check it out below, showing off the very impressive 3D engine that looks far stronger than the one featured in Cing's Hotel Dusk:
The official website for 'Geemu no Nanatsu DS' (to give it its Japanese moniker) also reveals numerous new screenshots, some of which are now in the media folder below. Other than that, there is a very brief demo hidden away (click the third of the links at the bottom of the website, then the blue DS image above the pink icon on the left - clicking the pink icon gives an overview of the NES-style game). It appears that the old NES-like game included has a strong link to the main storyline, in which players apparently die seven days after playing the old school Dragon Quest/Final Fantasy-looking game. Also, in a similar vein to Eternal Darkness's Sanity Meter, the game sends random messages and aims to trick gamers at certain points, mimicking the DS menu screen, for instance. Players seemingly have to unravel the mystery behind the game and its curse, investigating details related to the game's creator 'UTA Soft'.
Keep a close eye on this one. Square Enix Europe is currently evaluating whether or not to bring this over, so keep your fingers crossed...
