Capcom US Denies RE:Zero, Europe Uncertain

Capcom USA have declined the opportunity to bring Resident Evil 0 to the US, with the European division being less certain.

According to GoNintendo, the American division of Resident Evil creator's Capcom have expressed a lack of interest in the Japanese division's need to port the series prequel, Zero. Cap' USA's Corporate Officer/Vice-President of Strategic Planning & Business Development, Christian Svensson, recently revealed that they've declined the game twice, but nothing is final.

However, speaking to Cubed³ exclusively today, Capcom Europe's response was not quite as dismissive, stating "We have no announcements to make regarding Resident Evil 0 at this time."

That said, would you pick up a copy of Resident Evil Zero if it were to re-release on the Wii?

Well it was a pretty crappy port anyway, just go pick up the GC one if you really want it.

I probably wouldn't get it for Wii, as I only recently got it for 'Cube and am currently playing through it. Smilie

I've got the game for GC it's not half bad... but I wouldn't spend the money on buying it again for Wii!

So now even half-arsed ports are too much trouble?Smilie

No great loss at all. I think the only thing that might tempt fans would be a compilation of Zero, 1, 2 and 3 on a souped-up disc with sexy graphX and waggling tagged on.

I wasn't a fan until 4. So *adopts Adam West Batman voice* why-am-I-even-posting?...

I can't find the GC one anymore so I would have liked a Wii one.
