Recent rumours suggest that Tom Clancy's HAWX may be coming to Nintendo's Wii.
The combat flight simulator, set in the skies of Rio de Janeiro sees players piloting over 50 planes for frantic aerial warfare. Publisher Ubisoft recently revealed the project during Ubidays 2008, with no indication of a Wii version.
Spanish website DS Wii has made claims that the title is in the works for Nintendo's console, with the Japanese giant requesting Ubisoft to withhold information until a later date (possibly E3).
Keen eyed GoNintendo readers have noticed that IGN's Wii listing has remained on the site since Ubidays and has yet to be removed, despite regular updates.
Would Nintendo really request Ubisoft to keep gamers in the dark, or is it down to pure speculation?

If they really were told to withhold it from Ubiday I imagine it would've annoyed Ubisoft a bit with all of this no hardcore games whinging going on.
Knowing they have people complaining about them and they can't just come out and say 'Behold! An awesome sounding game.'

Hope there is something to this, really hoping developers start to consider the Wii as a 1/2 decent console that can go beyond current efforts.

Ubi already have Xs on Wii. It's the next worst thing I guess, but it would still be relatively good news, especially if effort is put in.
If Ubi are honestly making a real effort with this and were told not to show it, then I might apologise. Maybe.

I hope this does come to the Wii, we'll see the Wii pointer being put to use.
