A trailer of the Nintendo Exclusive Star Wars game has emerged, with Cell-Shaded Jedi and Sith battling it out.

Gained from Gametrailers, the trailer shows Cut-scenes and Gameplay footage, with little visual difference between either.

The game is also expected for the DS, to release alongside the Wii version later in the year.

Have your say on this trailer below.

Doesn't look too bad! Now I hope the controls turn out OK. Clearly not 1:1 but will we ever get that game?

Looks great it has to have the episode where Mace Windu takes down an entire squadron of droids and a giant sand blaster and then just lands next to a kid takes a drink of water and leaves like it was nothing.

But the game should be really good as long as the controls are good, the visual style is nice and the story of the clone wars animated series was great so it'll transition nicely into a game.

Just to let you know, this isn't based off of the Cartoon Network series. It's based off of the new movie (and eventually tv series) that are coming out.

I still think the new movie is silly and that the art and animation are pretty lame, but it looks like it translates nicely into a video game (the movie looks like a game to me anyway). Hopefully they make the saber duels really fun.

Yeah, the visuals on this game are actually shaping up nicely. Let's just hope the controls don't become a waggle-fest, though.

Haha, love the part with Grievous at the end.

See I don't mind waggling, as long as its relevant and not easily confused for another movement.

Love the animation and style - looks great. Hopefully the controls will be top notch!

Hoping they'll consider a FPS-style SW for Wii also.

The thing is, if Star Wars ever became CG, I think the new movie/TV show are how it should be done anyway. I wonder if the TV show will run long enough to run alongside the Live-Action coming in 2010?

And this is more off topic than ever, but if the Live-Action and Doctor Who Series 5 were on at the same time, I'd choose Doctor Who. Smilie The Live-Action probably won't even come to Freeview...

Yeah, from the looks of that gameplay I worry that the Wiimote controls will be far too waggly. It can work with some games, but it could easily go wrong.

Graphics look nice, it's clearly got the polish of a ground-up Wii game. Here's hoping on the gameplay...
Clearly not 1:1 but will we ever get that game?

This game needs to be third person to emphasise the style (so as to compare it to the TV show) whereas I think 1:1 would work best as a first-person game, IMHO.

This style becomes Wii greatly. It may not be able to give us lifelike graphics (or at least puppet-like, since no fotorealistic graphics looks any good on PS3 and 360), this style it does quite well!

I am interested in this game and as anxious as you to see how control scheme works...
I find your lack of faith disturbing!

I have never liked the style of these characters.

I am a little perplexed as to why exactly the Wii is getting this game exclusive. The game looks like it will play in exactly the same way Unleashed does on Wii, so why then does it need another such game so soon.

Even if it does turn out that the gameplay is just like Unleashed, it will still sell.

Yeah developers should try to make up with Wii's technical shortcomings with style. A realistic looking game is never going to look good on the Wii, so its best to use different styles that allow for the game to look whilst not demanding to much.

LS, I think it's because even Lucas know they're not making the most out of Force Unleashed Wii. This will probably have what FU lacks, make the most of the Wii hardware. Possibly even online multiplay? (Maybe... doubt it)

    Except without the 1:1 controls.

That's what I think, that being they know it's a weak game on Wii in comparison to the other versions of the game.

Why not spend more on making that game a success instead of using this slant on the franchise which is more kiddy and safe Smilie. I wont be getting this or Unleashed on Wii, it seems like a total waste of money when I can buy one game that hits the spot. I will be getting the darker Unleashed on 360 and nothing else.
