By Jorge Ba-oh 02.07.2008 31

The magazine, reaching subscribers this morning, has various interesting tidbits that are said to appear in their E3 special next month - including 2 undisclosed action games for Wii.

Alongside the forthcoming reviews and gift promotions is a piece of Animal Crossing artwork accompanied by a short caption: "It's been a while! It's time to revisit an old friend. How's your village doing these days?"

With various lists and strong hints for Animal Crossing at E3, could this be the final push fans need for village antics on the Wii?

Good news, though I definitely believed AC Wii would have been shown at this year's E3. I can't wait to hear more about it. It definitely has a lot of potential - online wise...

Animal Crossing Wii would be amazing.

ONM (the magazine) sucks balls though

I must be the only one who doesn't feel excited in the slightest about a new AC...

Maybe it's because I stopped playing the DS game on bad terms, and I expect the Wii game to still have N64 graphics?

They can easily make AC on Wii amazing just not to make the same mistakes as the DS version had. In the end I just got so bored of AC I had to stop playing.

Same, and that's the bad ending I mean. Will it be the same with all ACs? Once you stop playing for over a month it's tedious to get back into. I mean come on, playing every day is fun at first but they shouldn't force you to >.<

In your opinion.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing this, if it is at E3. I loved the DS game and still play it quite a bit. Hopefully they will put some nice online features in the game too.

If they havn't added a substantial online mode, overhauled the graphics and added more customization (building house, furniture, painting it or whatever) then I'm not interested.

I would have to agree. There was a excuse with the DS game but there can be no excuse here. The Wii game has to have a ton of new features, and I do mean a massive step up in that respect. Voice Chat has to be there also.

Practically, it has to be better than MySims, which was quite good.

Oh god Animal Crossing NEEDS Voice Chat!

I mean people could RP and stuff :3

I have no doubts that the game will expand on the graphics (though probably minor) and the customization/range of items and etc. I just know I will be disappointed by the online features...

Agreed! But we all no there will be no voice chat, that I am positive of.

Obviously, must protect teh kids from pedos. -_-

I'm also positive of that. Which is a shame because it'd be so good for AC.

Brawl is seriously lacking voice chat, it's a shame because either Brawl is the last Smash game, or the 8th gen Smash game will be on a Cartridge with no online modes and 100% virtual reality/motion play/no controller.

SL if they can't even sort out the fucking lag what's the point in voice chat.

Well you never know...the Creators of The Conduit said they are working with Nintendo to see if they can come up with voice chat. They didnt promise they will...but after revealing the Conduit...Ive come to like those guys Smilie

Unless they make the game feel different, I won't be excited.

I really would love this to truly expand on the AC universe. My suggestions would be to have new buildings appearing as you progress through the game, a library perhaps? More interactive events would be fantastic too, I remember on the GC you'd usually just obtain items by talking to the mayor.

Being realistic, the graphics can't be upped that much IF the game is a MMORPG since Nintendo will want online to be smooth. Sure, graphics will be better than the GC version, but not by much, which will allow for the CPU to be free to do calculations for the MMORPG and Voice Chat.

Let's see what E3 brings...

If it's an MMO I'm not buying; simple as that.

Of course an AC MMO is impossible anyway, since it directly contradicts everything Nintendo has ever said about WiFi.

The lag comes with the genre, voice chat has nothing to do with that.

It would be neat if you could use your DS to wireless hook up and do some stuff that requires persision, like making patterns, or something...

I'm actually pretty excited for this.
DS connectivity would definitely come in handy for patterns.
I'm sure the graphics will receive a decent upgrade, but I'm more concerned with the amount of content.
If they do the online right, it could have a lot more lasting value than the previous games. I bought the DS version, and it was great, but it certainly got boring after a while.

Interesting to see what they do with the online for this game. WW set the benchmark on DS (you could actually add people playing with you without actually exchanging FC's Smilie won't somebody please think of the children?) But SSBB had a worse online mode than Mario Kart DS IMO (what is the point of playing an online game that does not even record your wins and losses, and if a player drops out you play a CPU. Why not save the waiting and just play against the CPU? You can unlock more characters that way.

I hope Nintendo show some balls with this one like they did with MK Wii and actually let us talk freely (preferably voice, but not necessary to me, as I only play online with people I know on my 360).

Add me on anything. I'm always looking for new friends/opponents/town visitors/chances to appear more popular than I actually am.

SL with play to pay coming soon I wouldn't be surprised if we had to pay for online so an MMORPG would be nice if I had to pay plus voice chat.

I was just making an observation with the voice chat as I would see it as pointless if we can't even play in a lag free environment. I don't know about the lag, with people in your town alot of information with have to be sent to and from them. It will lag, I bet you 100 bells.

I hope it's good. Animal Crossing has a lot of potential. I just hope Nintendo do something good with it.
