The Japanese website for the upcoming Chrono Trigger remake has opened, providing the first trailer of the game in action on the DS.

301 33 28.08.2006 LiveThere might not be any touch screen functions at all. Hopefully they will, but this seems like a really direct port from the SNES. If so, it will probably just be menu scrolling or character movement.
Like I've stated from the official Chrono Trigger thread, I'm not sure if I want to pay for the same game again. Might consider this a rental.

Most of us will have never played it before, and even so, one of the best RPGs ever made being made handheld and essentially being "revived"? How can you say no? The more sales this gets the more likely we are to see exclusive Nintendo Chrono sequels.
