    E308 Media | MadWorld Trailer & Screens

If you're looking for a pick-me-up after a string of disappointing press conferences (aside THAT Final Fantasy announcement), there can sure be nothing better than a good dose of MadWorld, Platinum Games' SEGA-published black and white carnival of violence. Wii-exclusive, MadWorld has you going through a game of death as the imprisoned Jack, murdering all those in your way in a number of exciting ways so that you might escape a terrorist organisation. Like sticking tyres over their bodies and then running them through with nearby road signs, for example. And then putting them in the bin.

To join in with the festivities of E3, Platinum Games have released a bag of screenshots not for the squeamish. As if that wasn't enough, for dessert they've also unleashed a gameplay trailer that shows the game off in all its stylistic comic-book style glory, which also happens to be genuinely hilarious due to the OTT violence and a manical commentator. And the gameplay bears a passing resemblance to God Hand, which can only be a very good thing.

We can't wait...but we're going to have to, because it's not out until early 2009. Screens and trailer below. Children need not apply.

Thanks to IGN for the trailer.

It wasn't the PEGI or BBFC that had anything to do with that was purly the development team or publishers choice.

They haven\'t allowed it, it isn\'t even finished yet. It is simply a rating for the trailer, like a film trailer can get an 18 and then the film itself can actually be banned.

See now this might have saved that train wreck of a press conference. Stuff like this was in DIRE need. And they could have easily slotted this in when they did their \"limited to three games preview\". For the suppoesd \"hardcore\" portion they could have replaced Call of Duty World at War (which btw, looks fucking ridiculous, this is a PS3/360 game) with MadWorld.

Btw, that video is fucking brutal.

My NMH has blood. Maybe you have the edited version because some governments are pansies. Just you wait. MadWorld will probably get the same treatment from non US countries that NMH did.

That's great, aside from the bit where it had absolutely nothing to do with the government and was a choice of the developers. NMH didn't even get any kind of legal rating.

I can see this getting away with it because it's presented in a humorous way. Probably an 18, though.
