yeas just saw part 2 look really good but im not really a FPS fan

It looks really good, surprisingly so. Controls look very Metroid Prime, visuals are impressive.. possibly from a technical point of view rather than end user, but it's all good. Should be a good game when it's released. Did they ever get a high profile publisher?

The commentry makes it sound so boring though!

Lol, yeah - the commentary is a little dry, but I agree - it does look visually impressive. I worry about having to continually aim at the screen and how they'll get around sudden wrist movements, but for now it's really shaping up to be a decent addition to the Wii list.

That looks really impressive. A bit of a generic sci-fi shooter which is something you see all the time on the 360 and the PS3 but not on the Wii so I think they're doing this just to prove that it workson the system as well. I'm hoping for their next project it'll be a FPS that isn't all spacey and alieny. Well at least not one that's as generic as this.

A good read of Hands-on time with The Conduit here. This paragraph is quite disheartening;

Ill end with a little bit of conversation that came up in our elevator ride down to the hotel lobby. We got into talking about publishers, and while High Voltage wouldnt give me a name, they had a truly horrible story to tell. One publisher they approached outright told them that they didnt understand why High Voltage was making the game. They thought the project was great, but had no idea who they were trying to sell to. After saying that, the publishers said that they wanted to turn the game into a $20 project, and crap it out for a holiday release. Yes, the publisher really said 'crap it out'. Seriously, how disheartening is that?

My intuition tells me that was Ubisoft.Smilie

Core, blimey, the game really does look great. I just read the link that phoenixus posted, and go nintendo were really impressed.

I think the publisher they were talking to was obviously Ubishit. But then, Who know?

Looking good.

If you've played the latest MoH on wii with high high sensitivity on the controls, you'll know that FPS's can work very well.

Very nice looking visually, though does look a bit generic. Still one of the more interesting games on the Wii side at the moment, though. The third parties really bailed out Nintendo this E3.

Oh, I'm buying it now! I want this game to become hugely successful just because the publisher said that. I'm somewhat spiteful.

I'll probably buy this just to support the company. Its nice to see a Wii developer actually trying. It of course doesn't hurt that the game looks awesome.

I don't know, it doesn't look that great to me. I am just happy to see some effort been put in, I reckon MP3 had better visuals.

I think that has less to do with how much technology is used and more to do with knowing what looks appealing. Games like MP3 and Galaxy look so good because the art was great and they knew what effects to use and where to use them. It's about using the right tools to enhance the visuals rather than using as much as possible of everything. That's why an HD game on the other consoles can still look underwhelming.

That said, this looks very promising, and it's good to hear that the hands on impressions are positive. Smilie

Entirely correct. I think, in terms of raw numbers of effects, The Conduit has the 'best graphics on Wii'. In terms of being actually aesthetically pleasing, that award would go to Galaxy, Okami or Prime 3. Personally, I'd include No More Heroes in that list too, but I'm sure plenty of others would disagree.

The Conduit looks pretty good and is a very nice change from the rest of the Wii catalogue, diversity = spice of life and all that.
