Let's summarize a bit: Nintendo talks about broadening their audience. Check. Nintendo succeeds. Check. Nintendo sees the cash flow. Check. Nintendo continues the trend. Check.

How come they don't know their consumers? All the core gamers want is a little bit of confirmation that some super titles are underway. There's no promotion about those anywhere.

The worry is about nintendo forgetting the core audience, and they need to communicate back to it.

They don't neglect their core gamers, I know, but he should just understand their worries. The common perception right now is lack of core gaming support, which is ungrounded, but simply there because of all the attention the casual crap is getting (as opposed to the no-buzzer supergames).

Oh well, this is the same company of the "revolutionary pac-man announcement a couple of years back...

A game that is basically the same as the GC + DS version with voice chat and a game that we have no information is about.... yep we are excited.

Where was Tales of Symphonia? Nothing on the Wii Tales title after that either? Where was Day of Disaster? More ports? A peripheral for the Wii to finally do what was promised from Day One? What happened to Pilotwings? Are we ever getting those other colours of Wii hardware or remotes? Animal Crossing is more of the same, and rather a casual approach seems to have been taken to it. Why don't you develop Kid Icarus if there is already so much hype. No new IPs either. I feel left out, without a doubt.

The Xbox is getting Fable 2, FFXIII, Left 4 Dead, Mirror's Edge, the real versions of Spider-man: Web of Shadows and Star Wars Force Unleashed, Tales of Vesperia, Quantum of Solace, Banjo & Kazooie, Soul Calibur IV... all hilarious jokes aside, it may be a while until I get some good use out of my Wii.

Dissappointing year for me, possibly one of those years worth forgetting about, and use it to simply build hype for Mario, Zelda and Pikmin next year. I suppose with the money Nintendo are making from all this, there is little surprise with the direction they're following. I just wish they'd stop trying to convince everyone of their 'commitment' to the traditional gamer.

Reggie doesn't get hardcore gamers. Animal Crossing is NOT a hardcore game, and it's JUST LIKE an OLD DS/GC game. Even the graphics are the same...

This E3 has been absolutely pathetic. The Motionplus sounds good, but where are the games?

Nintendo, for me this year, seem to be very much like politicians. Throw out some promises. But where are the goods. Okay, so we have our new periperals. Where are the games?

Fuck you Reggie. 2 fucking games does not justify a catalogue. Yes, he's doing his job and has barely any influence on what games Nintendo themselves produce, but honestly there really had to be more to show.

The nintendo hardware is a bit of a catch twenty two. On one hand the interaction the interface is moving forward but the internal hardware isnt there to meet it half way. So when u mention GTA I think great the shooting mechanics and the general control not to mention the ingame mechanics that could be included will be great. But the game will look blocky almost painful unless they find a way around it like ninja gaiden.
Nintendo look a bit lazy of late just using old franchises what about reviving ones that havent been used in over a decade or new ones entirely like what pikmin was to the cube.

Reggie... at least don't justify the shit lineup.

to me all animal crossing wii does is show how far nintendo are prepared to go with their online network. a community mic just aint cutting it. everything sony' home is should be in animal crossing.

GTA DS: fine. But we have no info or screens on it. We therefore have no idea if it will be good or crap.

CoD5: The Conduit looks better, plus the co-op mode looks crap. Give us proper (online) co-op.

MotionPlus: no core games to show which use this? Eh.

I am one of those disgruntled Nintendo fans. Third party stuff looks fairly promising, though.

May have been said before and if so I apologize but personally I think by far the worst thing about the announcements is the motion plus add-on. Its complete bollocks cos you are basically paying for what the wii should have been doing coming out of the box and they are basically saying it wasnt that great to start with and was never really very accurate.

Well i've got a load of things to rant about... but it seems everyone else here has beat me to it. Like jb said "where r the games for all these peripherals". I could guote loads of other points people hav made but there isn't much point. Basically i recon i agree almost everyone here.
