2003: The year that Nintendo discovers 2nd Gear!

Well they groaned and mumbled and you could tell that at some point something big was going to come out of Nintendo, the question was, with so many rumours and lies floating around, which one, if any, was true.

ITS ALWAYS THE QUIET ONES!

And so, what everybody didn’t expect happened. Nintendo have gone and released a new (sort of) console. Well for one thing it looks pretty damn good, and yes if you want to have a stab at everything it is a bit ‘sexually inclined’ but quite frankly who cares. Sure it may seem a bit cruel to release something that in all essence does exactly the same as the original just with a light, and in a smaller size. Put like that, it might seem like a scam, but the handheld market is where Nintendo have total unchallenged dominance, people have tried to compete with the various GBs and have failed, leaving a huge ‘Handheld Graveyard’. So in a slightly strange move Nintendo has created some competition for itself. Will the GBAsp be put in place to swallow the marker gained by the GBA? Well why not!

STRENGTH IN NUMBERS

People who haven’t had a pop at Nintendo (in Europe) for producing one of the worst Christmas line-ups in quite a few years were totally correct, but it appeared that Nintendo had so many HUGE games that they needed the whole year to fit them in: take a bow 2003……
