Those not wishing to purchase a Balance Board with Wii Fit for future Wii games like Skate It can now look to an alternative; a separate Balance Board made by Njoy.
The peripheral recently appeared on Amazon.co.uk, and will retail for a-cheaper-but-not-by-much-price of 64.99.
The Board will be compatible with all Balance Board-enabled games, including Wii Fit, and will connect to the Wii via Bluetooth, the same as the original.
Njoy's Board has a few extras though. It doubles as a pair of electronic Scales with built-in LED Display, and an in-built Speaker for Scale Weight.

noneThe scales bit won't be popular. Wii fit avoided that to some extent using BMI, will it show it all the time and speak out your weight as soon as you stand on?
Then there's other stuff like if it's accurate enough, and the fact that it's more expensive considering it doesn't come with Wii Fit and is only 5 cheaper.....
Yeaaahhh, prospects not good methinks.

JosephHylandThis looks horrible. For about 5 extra, you can get a much nicer looking balance board, and a good game! As for the scales bit, it sounds like an interesting feature, but Wii Fit measures your weight anyway!

No, it's just the style of the board.( Edited 04.08.2008 11:57 by Birdo Is A Tranny )

J@cKOk, I expect pure fail with this thing. The idea of another one is only helpful because Wii Fit is sold out and hard to get. But when it looks that ugly and cost 5 less (bearing in mind Fit has a 30 odd game free) it aint gonna sell. Njoy, lower the price to 30 or crash and burn into the depths of third party hell!

Yea, forgot about Wii Fit*
It looks as if it's made in China, that's all we need to know.
