Wii Joins Portable Market with 7-Inch Screen

Fancy waggling in the car, on an aeroplane or playing Wii Sports on the beach. Now you can with a swanky 7-inch screen.

The screen comes equipped with the Wii in mind. No wires, no mess. With a built in sensor bar and shaped to slot into the rear-end of the machine, the device snugly wraps its 16:9 LCD Screen around the Wii's already teeny body.
  • Screen: 7 inches TFT LCD
  • Resolution: 480(W) X 234(H)
  • PAL/NTSC (auto switching)
  • Flip picture upside-down for creative mounting options.
  • Auxiliary Stereo AV Connection (3 x RCA) - for connecting other video devices.
  • Power Source: 12 VDC (Car Cigar Lighter Adaptor Included).

  • At an RRP of $109.99 (£65), it's quite a decent bargain for those wanting their home console on the move.

Sweet. Bigger screen and and a hand/solar charger/battery pack next.

Good idea. I wonder how much power the wii consumes (would be a lot less if nintendo had their way and were still using solid state).

There are already around ten or so different screens which have been out for more than a year now, some look better. It joined the portable market a long while ago now.

The best I have seen was at last years CES, that one was sleek and minimal and matched Wii\'s design perfectly.

I am thinking about getting one of these portable Wii Projectors instead.

It's not chunky, cumbersome or ugly.

That's what I like about it.

    Less posty, more gamey.

I had one of these thingies for my Gaymkyoob. I don't think I'll be getting one this time around though.

One day I will be a real life anime.

hmm without a decent battery it's a no thank you for me. But if they make one with a battery in it and possibly a better build screen - then I'd be interested Smilie
    480 x 234 for a 7 inch screen is a bit pathetic...

You won't notice the bad resolution, Wii's graphics are barely past N64 standard. Smilie

Wow.......that screen really exels at taking what tiny amount of reputaion nintendo has over Sony/Microsoft in terms of resolution, and just destroys it.

While it does look cool, the screen is way too small for me. I never liked these portable screens.
