Rumour: Lucasarts Working on MotionPlus Lightsaber Game?

According to a popular US magazine, Lucasarts are already in the early stages of a Star Wars Lightsaber game that will use Nintendo's new MotionPlus Accessory.

From 1up, the magazine, Electronic Gaming Monthly, states that it was too late to implement the tech into Lightsaber Duels, the movie tie-in to The Clone Wars, and that Lucasarts would instead be prepping another title for release late next year;

But that's not all, loose-lip addicts. Remember earlier this summer when LucasArts finally announced Star Wars: The Clone Wars -- Lightsaber Duels, the lightsaber-wielding Wii game that everyone had been waiting for? And then not a month later, when Nintendo announced WiiMotion Plus during E3? Well, apparently LucasArts hadn't heard anything about this new technology, so Lightsaber Duels will not be implementing it. The understandably ticked-off publisher is already in talks about another Wii lightsaber game that will use MotionPlus for sometime next year, according to our sources.

What would you like to see in a MotionPlus-supported Lightsaber title? Have your say below.

I would say it's certainty, I just hope that it's done very well and is not rushed out. For a long time now it's what SW fans have wanted. What with Unleashed done and dusted it could get the treatment it deserves with the best people at LucasArts working on it. If all goes well it could potentially be one of the most successful third party Wii games given the fanbase. I think it could easily sell as much as GH3 Wii.

I wouldn't be surprised if Wii MotionPlus is incorporated into Battlefront III. That would be sick!

I'd love to have a new Jedi Knight game for Wii or even updated versions of the classic Dark Forces/Jedi Knight games. Most of all, I want a new Rogue Squadron game for Wii, please!!Smilie lol

...or an updated compilation of all three.SmilieSmilie
