DX re-entering the Top 10 and Wario Land: The Shake Dimension sneaking its way to the 100,000 mark after a terribly slow start.

Amazing sales. I cannot wait to get 4 next month, hopefully I will finish FF4 DS by then, and Ys, Book 1 and the very least. I am in a state of RPG overload right now Smilie

Next huge hit is likely to be Pok?n Platinum...that should keep the DS at the top!

Yep, the PSP put up a very respectable fight earlier this year, but its time has likely come and gone.

Sony has done very well to make a comeback with the PSP following the release of the Slim & Light model, as well as MANY new colours over the past six or so months, plus a special bundle with a TV Tuner.

But the fact that the DS has been chugging away nicely in the background whilst all that happened is quite impressive and now it's managed to sneak ahead thanks to (from what I've heard) hugely positive word-of-mouth about Rhythm Tengoku.

No way!, the PSP is far from dead, there are some HUGE titles in development. Sony could not reveal them at E3 because they are third party and still deep in the works. You never see PSP games at big shows until they are near finished. But aside from that, first party wise, GT Mobile and LittleBigPlanet are going to happen, just wait and see. The Liverpool Studios is rumoured to be working on the latter. When those games are released you will see a sales spike of epic proportions.

Kingdom Hearts on PSP is going to be huge...and that's just one example.

Don't get me wrong, in Japan the PSP is still kicking, but even Sony fans admit the PSP is nearly dead in other regions. Its like Sony has given up everywhere BUT Japan. They haven't released nearly as many colors or peripherals outside of Japan, and there is literally no marketing or apparent effort, at least in the USA.

When those games are released you will see a sales spike of epic proportions.

If God of War couldn't make a lasting impact, I doubt much of anything else can.

GT Mobile

Isn't that the one they said was going to launch with the PSP and then was practically never heard from again?

Get that dirt off the number 1 spot. Smilie

I can't understand Japan buying tons of PSOs and DQs and Monster Hunters....they all suck =/

Oh but my brother bought the fire emblem game and he likes it Smilie - I've not played it though.
Most games are a waste of time.

yeah its possible sales will pick up paticuarly when the new version is released with the mic (what next dual screens)

I've just got back from Cyprus, and in the hotel bar in the evening there must have been about 20 or more kids and some adults all playing on DS's, i only remember seeing 1 kid with a PSP (loner).
peer preasure wont help PSP sales
incidently,
most were playing Mario Kart with a handfull on Pokermon
and the Psp guy was just waiting for a des
