Like Mario taking to a flying cap, Nintendo's profit expectations have risen sharply by 23% due to continually strong Wii and DS sales.
Reuters notes that Nintendo's shares have increased by more than 8% with the revised 2008/09 outlook and that volume forecasts for Wii and DS sales have jumped 6 and 9%, respectively.
Nintendo's new targets for Wii and DS until March 2009 are 26.5 and 30.5 units. Operating profit also saw an increase, by 17%, to 245 billion yen.
Certainly excellent news for the Japanese giant. With increasing exclusives on both the Nintendo Wii and DS and more to come in 2009, the future does certainly seem bright for Nintendo players.
