Capcom: SFIV on Wii Wouldn't Be a Kids Version

In yet another response to the question of whether Wii would see a version of Street Fighter 4; if it was to happen, it wouldn't be a Watered-Down effort.
From Vooks.net, in an interview, Capcom's Yoshinori Ono, the lead Producer of Street Fighter 4, had the following to say;
Interestingly, he added that any potential Wii version wouldn't suddenly turn into a Pocket Fighter-Equivilant;

We've had a lot of requests for Street Fighter IV on Wii. Since it's a 2D fighting game, it's doable, but whether we'd try we don't know. We'd have to see. If we can sell it, we might consider it.

It would be a straight-forward Street Fighter IVit wouldn't be a kid's version.

Good, please enough with the dumming down developers. Too bad I don't like Street Fighter (I did like the graphics of the new one though).

That's good. I think the fans should make it happen! It'd be interesting to see what it would be like.
If Nintendo advertised it well, I'm sure it could sell.

Nintendo advertise a few third party games via its website and on the Wii. It would be great if it came to Wii also.

Nintendo still want it to sell, especially if it means more Capcom support in the future.
Maybe Nintendo don't want a company who makes hardcore games making games on Wii though...

I doubt that, since they run awfully short on core games. They surely would welcome the kind of games Street Fighter would be part of.
I am not against Street Fighter IV on Wii. It's not my game, either. But they are a bit slow: they sell it soon on PS3 and co and Wii is again far behind. That's not good if they aim for core gamers who don't like to buy their games one year after first release...
I find your lack of faith disturbing!

Fighting games bore me almost as much as sports ones.
But I'm sure theres enough SF fans on the Wii to give decent sales.
Besides, how much effort would a port be? Wouldnt it just be scaleing down all the resolutions ? :p

Fighting games other than smash bros don't really interest me...
...but millions of other people disagree with me, so they should do it - It'll most likely sell millions.
But they allowed MadWorld and Manhunt 2!
- I think they want them, but pretend they don't...to preserve their "family friendly" image.

Most games are a waste of time.
