For those seeking a simpler way of accessing the Internet with their Wii or DS, Nintendo have announced the Wi-Fi Network Adapter.
For regular users, Nintendo's USB dongle or a regular router has sufficed – allowing the dual-screened portable or motion-controlled beast to connect and share information down the line. However, the company have now announced a branded router that aims to bring a simpler way of syncing the Wii and DS alongside regular devices.
For 5,800 yen ($54, £28), the Nintendo Wi-FI Network Adapter packs in a 802.11g/b router with a meagre single LAN port for Wired access. To get around it's skimped functionality, an AOSS button allows players to synch their Wii or DS without the need to type out and setup security keys.
It seems that Nintendo of Europe aren't keen on the idea, so it's likely that we won't be receiving a Nintendo branded router any time soon.
Thanks to Siliconera.
