Nintendo Set to Push Wii/DS in New Zealand

By Adam Riley 08.09.2008 1

Following the demise of Nintendo's distributor in New Zealand a few months ago, the company has decided to take matters into its own hands, just as it successfully did in Australia, in order to boost flagging sales of the Nintendo DS and Wii systems.

As of the start of September, Nintendo started a massive advertising campaign over there to help promote the likes of Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training, Wii Sports and Wii Fit, as well as various other titles. Between 1st September and the Christmas period of this year, Nintendo will have five Nintendo DS, and six Wii advertising campaigns on the boil.

Let us see just how much of a difference this push actually makes...

About freaking time. We are like the only country in the world where the DS and Wii are not making a killing. The PS3 is selling the most.
