Update 20/09/2008 JB: new screens. A series of images from Tatsunoko vs Capcom have emerged, revealing some familiar faces kicking, punching and fireballing their way to victory.

Japanese Mag Famitsu has revealed that Capcom will be bringing their Fighting crossover with Tatsunoko to Nintendo's lead platform.

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes, is a crossover fighting game consisting of Capcom's finest; from games like Mega Man, Lost Planet and Street Fighter, battling against characters from Japanese Animation Studios Tatsunoko. Links to the first scans of the Wii version, which visually look very close to the Arcade game, and will include Bonus Exclusive Mini-games, are below. It is not yet known how the controls will work.

It is reported that Capcom USA are strongly considering bringing the game to the US market, so a European release isn't out of the question. Would C3 Readers be interested in this title?

Awesome, I had thought as much. The Marvel Vs Capcom style gameplay should suit the Wii well. This game is going to sell a shiz load in Japan, meaning Capcom will have their first extremely successful Wii game, before MH3 hits. Hopefully it will lead to many more fighters as a result.

If this does not come out in the west I expect they will use the engine for Marvel Vs Capcom 3 and put that out here instead on Wii. either way I am getting this on import Smilie

Yeah, MvC3 will defo be 3D, unfortunately. I think Capcom\'s days of making sprite-based fighters are well and truly behind them, sadly Smilie

I love the fact it has remixed SF2 music in the game, from the few tracks I have heard so far it sounds great.

Damn, this is looking nice! I'll have to keep an eye on this.

Personally, I'd love to have a DC vs. Marvel game done by either Capcom or SNK Playmore. The whole DC vs. Mortal Kombat idea is utterly absurd. Personally, I'm not too keen on a Street Fighter vs. Mortal Kombat game, either.

However, a Street Fighter vs. The King of Fighters game would be sick! I'd love it if they'd focus solely on those two series specifically. With fully updated gfx (with the option to use either Capcom's or SNK's style of anime), classic style gameplay with optional (read: well thought out and implemented) motion controls, NWFC/WC24 functionality, and characters spanning the entirety of both series. Or better yet, every character from both series. Smilie Hey, I can dream, can't I? lol Smilie

And I'm still waiting for Namco-Bandai's Soul Calibur styled Legend of Zelda fighter. After Nintendo fans got screwed over with the lack of SCIII for GC (despite the GC version of SCII's raging success), again with Wii getting crapped on with SC:L, and once more with a complete neglect of a proper SC sequel for Wii, they deserve it, damnit!

Yeah I was losing faith in Capcom because of how shite Dead Rising looked, but if these are indeed Wii graphics then I'm pretty impressed. For now.

You don't? The premise of a LOZ fighter is epic in itself! That combined with the proven gameplay mechanics of the Soul Calibur series, could very well make it masterpeice and a HUGE cash cow.

Link's inclusion was about 5 years ago in Soul Calibur II. Since then, fans have recognized the sheer potential and have been clamoring for a dedicated LOZ fighter.

There's way more than enough characters from the storied history of the LOZ series that could be included and even expand upon. I personally wouldn't have any problems with Namco-Bandai including a few original characters, just so long as they collaborate closely with Nintendo and keep it in step with the Zelda series.

Regarding speaking, Link is the only one who technically doesn't "speak", which is the way it should be kept. However, despite the rest of the cast only conversing in text, I don't feel there would be any problems whatsoever providing them proper voice acting. Albeit, good ones.
