Handful of Wii Music Tracks Revealed

A handful of tracks from the impending release of Wii Music have leaked onto the web.

Nintendo's latest interactive software hopes that everyone will be able to waggle their way to playing some top gaming melodies and an odd selection of classic tunes: from the fret mangling guitar expert to your granny.

Since the Japanese release, a load of songs have been mingling into a list you'll be able to perform to very soon indeed, according to IGN Preview:

Public domain songs

  • Overture from the opera Carmen
  • "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star"
  • "Yankee Doodle"
  • Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 ("Ode to Joy")
  • Richard Wagner's Bridal Chorus

    Nintendo songs

  • Legend of Zelda Overworld Theme
  • Super Mario Bros. Theme
  • F-Zero Mute City Theme

    Licensed songs

  • "Material Girl" by Madonna
  • "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" by Wham!
  • "Daydream Believer" by The Monkees
  • "I'll Be There" by The Jackson 5
  • "Every Breath You Take" by The Police
  • "Please Mr. Postman" by The Marvelettes
  • "September" by Earth, Wind & Fire
  • "Sukiyaki" by Kyu Sakamoto
  • "The Loco-Motion" by Little Eva
  • "Jingle Bell Rock" by Bobby Helms
  • "La Bamba" by Ritchie Valens
  • "Do-Re-Mi" from The Sound of Music
  • Title Theme from Chariots of Fire

    You can expect top beats from Zelda, Mario and more to join the full list, but for now be sure to waggle your way through some Japanese ads for the game (thanks to Kotaku):

    Ewww Wii Music...

    Why don't they just make an advert with some Zelda or Mario tunes. It's advertisements like this which make everyone think Nintendo doesn't care about the hardcore anymore.
