The booklet included with the Japanese units of Nintendo's new DSi have revealed unknown details on the handheld.
From GoNintendo, previously unknown features include the ability for SDHC Cards, a faster and potentially larger version of standard SD Cards. Given the size of the unit, a new power adapter was a given, but here it's confirmed.
For the DSi's WiFi boost, Nintendo will be including their own licensed WPA code for the unit, as well as only allowing for 802.11b and 802.11g speeds.
As far as specs go, the DSi will be 214g in weight, 74.9mm by 137mm by 18.9mm in size, and for battery life, it will be 3-4 hours on the brightest setting, then 4-6, 6-9, 8-12 and finally 9-14 on the dimmest setting, thereby confirming a fifth Brightness option. Screen resolution will be at 256x192, and both screens are at 3.25 overall size.
Also, given the model number being TWL-001, it is possible that the codename for the DSi was Twilight, or something to that effect, like how the Wii still retains the Revolution name through the RVL Model Numbers.
Will any C3 readers be importing one of these units, or waiting for an official Europe release?
