Wii to DS Connection Found in Mii Channel

A new feature has been found in the Mii channel, allowing select DS games to download Miis to the handheld for use in games.

So far, the only game on retail to use this feature is Aruite Wakaru Seikatsu Rhythm DS (or Personal Trainer: Walking), a Japanese title that comes with a free Pedometer.
You can unlock the feature on the Mii Channel right now by pressing A, B, 1, and then holding 2, a new 'connect to DS' button will show, and remain. A video below demonstrates how it works.

Other games to use this feature will be Square-Enix's Wii & DS crossover Crystal Chronicles title, and presumably the Warioware Micro-game creator.

Finally, I guess we've found out what it's really for. I remember hearing about this secret option on the Mii Channel quite a while back. It sounds interesting, looking forward to seeing which games use it.

One day I will be a real life anime.

Good stuff - can't see why Nintendo are hiding it behind a set of button presses though. Also, how long has this feature been in the Wii? I didn't see it mentioned in the Wii Firmware updates so either it was done secretly or has been in the Wii since 1.0.

This can be used to transfer your Mii to the new 360 dashboard.

    Less posty, more gamey.

    Online!

Nintendo should seriously consider upgrading the Miis with a little extra to play with - perhaps a colour pallet, different clothing styles maybe. At least give a decent colour pallet!
