Boom Blox Sequel on the Way for Wii

After a decent run in the charts, the EALA and Steven Spielberg Wii puzzler is getting a sequel.

The original game allowed players to manipulate a series of objects to knock over a stack of blocks and backed up by a complex physics engine did a pretty fine job of it. As the title received favourable scores and has had a steady stream of sales, it looks to be getting a sequel.

The Blueprint model is also being used on a previously undisclosed, but none-too-surprising, project: "Boom Blox 2." (not the official title)

Apparently work is already underway on a sequel to the spring's innovative Wii puzzle game, which got very good reviews (especially from me) and and sold decently, last we heard.

But whie development is being led out of EALA, where the first "Boom Blox" was made, people are working on it together from all over the world. "Everybody is integrated, regardless of whether they're in the same physical location. It's truly the spirit of what Blueprint was going to be.

    Thanks to GoNintendo.

Well lets hope they get the art style up to scratch with this one. Minimalism of the kind that Nintendo are known for would work well

Well I hope it won't be too minimalist, if it was just blocks it would a bit dull imo.

    Online!

Art style was neat with the first one - bold, colouful and a little cheeky too.

I've got 11 games for Wii. 11. How did that happen? I can't name 11 Wii games worth owning... but I simply don't buy shit games. It's mainly quality little games like this and Mercury Meltdown that have bulked out my wad. And ExciteTruck. And does Wii Sports count if it's bundled? Wii Play's barely a demo disc. Fit? I guess Music will be another anomaly to join the ranks over Xmas.

Anyway, yes, Boom Box. Throwing things at other things is always good.

Ok dartmonkey, so Super Mario Galaxy, Twilight Princess, Fire Emblem, Super Paper Mario, Endless Ocean, Zack and Wiki, Boom Blox, Elebits, Dewy's Adventure, Metroid Prime 3, Okami, Opoona, William's Pinball Collection, RE: Umbrella Chronicles, Resident Evil 4, both Trama Centers (and about 10 more games I won't list)... are not worth your time?
