New Screens for Sonic

Sega have revealed some new and impressive shots of the Sonic and the Secret Rings Sequel; The Black Knight.

Already looking even better than the Wii version of Sonic Unleashed, Sonic and the Black Knight is the second entry in the Storybook series that began with Secret Rings, and will combine Sonic's Trademark Speed with Motion-Controlled Swordplay.

Looks loooooovely Smilie

It makes me squee with Sonic glee. SEGA love the Wii!

There goes the rhyming once more. (Gruntilda is a smelly whore)

Good Graphics, the game looks alright too. I just hope it's better than Unleashed, not that I'm saying Unleashed is a bad game. It's just that I want a Sonic game that'll score over at least 80%.

Nice screens! Shaping up to be a gorgeous looking game - hope the gameplay reflects that Smilie

Looking very nice, hopefully the controls are a bit tighter than secret rings, I really hated when snic wouldn't slow down when I pulled back.

This isn\'t the Oxymoron thread L!

EDIT: Controls are nunchuck now apparantly. More like Unleashed. Just hope swording doesn\'t ruin it.

Oh right cool, I don't think the swording will slow down the game in any way, I looks like it's very fluid judging from the little gameplay in the trailer.

I think as long as it's not constant hack and slashing enemies it should be fine. I'd had to run for a bit, new area with 10 enemies, run a bit more, more hacking (like Soul Calibur Legends).

Looks really good, but whats with the trailer's song? Sega give me an option for some classic Sonic tunes. *starts whistling the Green Hill Zone tune*

Yeah the music in that trailer is terrible, I really hope it's only for the trailer and when we see some in game stuff it will have decent music like unleashed.

Lol, I quite like the new theme! Smilie SatSR's soundtrack's pretty good, some tracks take some time to get used to but in general some good tunes in there.

i was a bit enthusiastic about unleashed, but judging from those screens, i'm even more enthusiastic about this one now. This + Mad World + The Conduit, etc ... Sega has it right with the Wii, i can't wait to see what games they'll unveil next for the lil' white "Queen of Sales".

There's 2 versions of the trailer - one with instrumental, seemingly orchestrated (or at least involves a few violins) version of the theme which sounds loaaaaaaaaaads better, and the this lyrical version.

Ah the graphics are nice, too bad they are wasted on a sonic game.

I've heard it, but it sounds kinda MIDI-ey to me. I prefer the vocals version personally.

You cannot "waste" good graphics. Sonic Team can do nice graphics but bad games. Other devs need to learn to do nice graphics too Smilie

Sure it looks nice, but how does it play, hopefully better than The Secret Rings.

Cubed3 Member

Screens look good, but the swordplay might be another distraction that keeps Sonic from being as good as he could be.

Did they steal that trailer music from a really crappy Saturday morning cartoon or something?
