Fatal Frame IV Receives Euro Date on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Survival horror fans in Europe have a treat next year with Fatal Frame IV receiving a European release.

A scan taken from the latest Official Nintendo Magazine has done the usual Internet rounds and seems that Nintendo of Europe will be publishing the Tecmo/Grasshopper collaboration sometime in February 2009. Play.com have slotted the title in for a February 6th release date.

Fans in the US will have to sit tight for a release date, but according to an announcement from XSEED, someone will be publishing but that'll be announced sometime in the future.

If you're talking about Fatal Frame 4 for the Wii then it's coming to the US, even though it won't be by us. Can't tell you who's bringing it over, but keep your eyes peeled for an official announcement, hopefully sometime soon.

Huzzah! Really looking forward to this. People seem to think it flopped in Japan, but despite not selling over 100,000 units it has actually become the best-selling version so far. It even beat the first game's lifetime sales in just one week! So there is every reason for Nintendo to give this a push in Europe...

One of my most anticipated games of 2009.

Looks great - shame it hasn't done as well as it could in Japan. Needs more push! Hopefully it'll sell well in Europe Smilie

I hope it doesn't become another Disaster-style "put on the maybe pile" for NoA.

jb>One way or the other, i am pleased with how Europe is finally given the treat with great games ^^.

Remember how it was on previous consoles ? On NES they had dragon quest 1 through 4 and final fantasy. On SNES, they had chrono trigger and final fantasy 4 & 6. On N64 : ogre battle 64. on gamecube : Baten kaitos origins (which i felt we would not get so i bought it right away when it was realeased there before the prices rose due to its not being released in Europe)

Compared to all what they got in the past that we didn't, and not only on nintendo consoles, and what they still get there BEFORE we do, WE in Europe are still treated worse than them IMHO. I can't even imagine that they don't get this one, and i'm pretty sure that in the end they'll end up getting it, and even maybe a short while before we do. Mark my words !

I think, US will be getting this, no problem...!
I just want Baten Kaitos Origins!

I like the box art a lot, too and hope, they keep it for Europe - including the great Japanese lettering.
I like how this version is exclusive for Wii and a very special core game. It looks stunning and I hope it sells well. It deserves it!
I will be getting it for sure, next to World of Goo and Mushroom Men nd Disaster!

I find your lack of faith disturbing!
