FFCC: Echoes of Time Set for Spring on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

The upcoming Wii and DS Final Fantasy link-up, Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of time, has been given a release period in the US.

The game, available on both platforms, brings back the much loved real-time Final Fantasy action: players head out in a team, made up of characters in four different races, into fearsome dungeons, overcoming obstacles. This time round a hero returns from freeing a forest full of monsters and celebrates his 16th birthday, however notices a young village girl with an illness - "crystal sickness" - and so gives up his much earned party to find a cure.

Square-Enix confirmed that both games will ship in Spring 2009.

So for the DS version, porting is always an option.

I still don't see the point of the Wii version personally.

I feel the same way, but maybe this is a stepping stone so the third game in this series will have the next DS game and a Wii version with actual Wii graphics.

Awesome Smilie but is the wii version exactly the same or does it have any differences to the DS version?

I very much doubt that since this the fourth game in the series (since crystal bearers hasn't come out yet).

But yeah, by looking at it, might aswell get the DS version.
