Kingdom Hearts on Nintendo DS Confirmed for US

Square Enix and Disney Interactive Studios have announced that the release of KINGDOM HEARTS 358/2 Days (developed by h.a.n.d., the team behind Chocobo Dungeon and Chocobo Tales, as well as Flower, Sun and Rain for Marvelous), the first entry in the franchise for Nintendo DS has been confirmed for a North American release in 2009. The game is due in Japan this coming February, so with any luck the Western world will not have to wait too long.

With more than twelve million copies shipped worldwide so far, the KINGDOM HEARTS franchise has quickly become one of the most popular RPGs in video game history and the GBA edition, Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, has now been remade on PS2 and has shipped to retailers across the US.
