XSEED on Fragile, Shiren, Sky Crawlers, Knights in the Knightmare on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

XSEED has answered requests for various Wii and DS games to be brought to the West, including Shiren 2, Knights, Fragile and Sky Crawlers.

The company has been established to bring over high quality games from multiple Japanese developers to the West, including Namco, Marvelous (MMV) and Square Enix. With a lot of RPG and adventure titles being brewed for Wii and DS, fans have been looking for Western confirmation, and NeoGAF's Hero of Legend recently spoke to the company the possibility of various games.

  • Shiren 2 (Sega, DS) - Won't happen due to lack of interest at retail.
  • Knights in the Nightmare (Sting, DS) - Up to Sting to bring the series to the US, has partners in the west already.
  • Winds of Nostalgio (Tecmo, DS) - Coming to the US, perhaps not by XSEED.
  • Sky Crawlers (Namco, Wii) - Interested, will look into it.
  • Fragile (Namco, Wii) - Interested, but not much is known about it. Will keep tags on it.
  • Puyo Puyo 15th Anniversary (Sega, DS) - Won't happen due to "casual audience".
  • Tales Games - Would love to, but difficult to license in the West.

" Puyo Puyo 15th Anniversary (Sega, DS) - Won't happen due to "casual audience"."

Since when is that a reason not to release DS game? :p

Puyo Puyo is as accessible and better then Tetris, imho.

Don't tell me they won't license the Tales games. That's crap. How are they "difficult to license"? Maybe I just don't understand the licensing process but that doesn't seem to make any sense to me. Namco has released plenty of Tales games in the past, and if I'm not mistaken they have all done respectably well in the West.
