An image has popped up on the official Japanese Konami website with a message: "A Next Metal Gear Is...?"
Whilst a port of the PlayStation 3 exclusive Metal Gear Solid 4 (for Xbox 360) could be a possibility, it's looking to be a new entry into the series, and this would likely mark the transition onto other platforms.
Some have speculated that it could be for Microsoft's Xbox 360 due to the green font, and Wii due to the similar "i". A long shot could also mean the i in DSi or Apple's iPhone.

Please come to the Wii baby! Plus, since Snake came out in SSBB i think it would make sense since he was well recieved by fans of the SB series!

I guess the i is a possible link, but I still see this as being entirely improbable. It's probably just a new spin off.

As much as i\'d love to see a MG come to Wii, i don\'t think it\'ll happen. I think it\'s far more likely to come to yet another sony console, be it home or handheld.
A small piece of hint would be the mention of Konami Digital Entertainment. Know what it is ? Former Konami of America. Why present a next metal gear directly through an american branch and not present it through japanese Konami directly ? Could it be called metal gear power (hence the power sign).
It would be cool if they made a new one exclusive to the wii, but that equation could mean anything.

The "!" does imply another Acid title to me. Infact this may be implying the game title rather than the game system.
I guess we'll see though. Maybe DSi or iPhoneas some have said.

You say that, but we got Twin Snakes on the gamecube...
If you think about it it looks like 2 'i' so maybe we will get a Metal Gear on Wii, heres hoping!

A Wii Metal Gear title would be a good way to reward Snake\'s presence in SSBB, but to be honest I\'m not holding my breath for it to happen. Be great if it did though.
Edit; Actually, after having a closer look, everything in that picture can be attributed to the Wii; The two i\'s, and even the power symbol is used on the console itself. Not only that, but the LED is green when switched on. Hmmm....

We let the guy in Smash Bros. Out of all the potential characters for the game, Solid Snake jumped the long LOOOOOOONG line. i + ! = power button or ON button, the font type used on the letters are similar to the font type used for the wii logo

i really hope that MGS for wii would actually be a reality. it won't be the first time konami made a MGS for nintendo. (MGS:2 for GC) plus alot of nintendo fans love snake from brawl.
