Nintendo's Wii Gets Phantom Brave Strategy RPG

Following the revelation that Nippon Ichi was working on WiiWare, it has been confirmed Phantom Brave is heading to Wii as well, an enhanced port of the PlayStation 2 sleeper hit. The original strategy RPG, from the makers of Disgaea and Rhapsody that have both recently been ported to DS and released in the US, hit the PS2 in 2004 to great critical acclaim, but lower than expected sales when compared to Disgaea, so it will be interesting to see how it now fares on Wii, complete with extras. This new edition will feature various extras, including new characters and even enhancements to the scenario.

Phantom Brave (PS2, Nippon Ichi, 2004)

Phantom Brave on Wii will hit Japan on 12th March, 2009 for 7,140 yen (roughly US$78 / £40). Perhaps it this proves to be successful on Wii Nippon Ichi will consider porting La Pucelle Tactics and the other entries into the Disgaea series to Wii as well. It looks okayish, i doubt I'll be getting it unless someone changes my mind and tells me its amazing! Smilie

I see all these people insulting the Nintendo corporation because of the lack of mature content. Yet there is something about Nintendo (at least their games) that strikes a certain unadulterated feeling of joy!!!  Pokemon Y - 1048-9263-5562

Disagea...

Super Duper Ultra Fun Time!

Ahhh another SRPG that I enver got to play, can't wait to play this as well. Love Disgaea.
