EA Explodes onto Wii Once More on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

EA have announced a quick turnaround for the sequel to Boom Blox - Bash Party - due this Spring.

The new outing offers improved multiplayer action (including team-based challenges), over 400 new levels, new block types and shapes, tools and actions - like sling, paint ball and cannon. There are also new characters to meet and greet as they cheer you on, but this time you can use these adorable block creatures as part of the destruction. Those craving more can grab extra content via DLC.

Legendary director/producer Steven Spielberg also returns to the helm to continue the Bloom Blox vision.

Boom Blox Bash Party is a wild social gaming experience. We know families and friends really enjoyed playing the original BOOM BLOX together, so we designed more explosive multiplayer experiences with BOOM BLOX Bash Party.
Steven Spielberg

In Boom Blox Bash Party we are taking the game elements to the extreme. In the original Boom Blox, we really focused on perfecting the game's physics so now we can push the boundaries of physics, offering exciting new challenges and completely new ways to play.

Definitely be getting this one! I'd planned to get the first for a while, but it looks like waiting for this one will be well worth it, especially with the WiFi and dlc!

Hell, I remember playing Boom Blox for 7 hours the first time i got it it's a great game i wonder if they will use the Wii Motion-plus add-on.

When all is bad don't look for a easy way out. Because you wont know what to do once your out

Sounds very good, I might get this instead of the original one.

It seems odd that EA would first say that this is one of those games that sells well steadily over time then announces a sequel less than a year later.

Ya I was thinking that, but it's great news for people who didn't get it the first time round and wanted it (Like myself)

Not likely to use Motion+ since Wii Sports Resort has no set release date yet...
