From the screens, Sonic shall now join Billy Hatcher as one of the additional features that allows the hero you play as, Billy Hatcher, to find companions to essentially aid his quest, in a similar role that Tails played in Sonic 2 [Megadrive]. Sega announced today that their world famous mascot, Sonic the Hedgehog, should be an additional partner to aid Billy in his quest.

The hedgehog shall have his trademark special speed, agility and perhaps his cunning and witty lines from the series and comic books. His additional speed, detailed on the screenshot below allows Sonic to defeat his enemies with the pure burst of speed in a similar vein to his actions during his adventures.

It seems that Sonic shall be just one of the hidden mysteries deep within the adventure, and Sonic Team have recaptured the classic Sonic feeling upon the capsulation egg used to contain sonic - in the form of the traditional logo, as well as keeping the more modern character appearance for their mascot in the in-game model.
