Tales of Symphonia Manga sees French Release on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

While it may have slipped under the radar of many fans, a Tales of Symphonia manga has existed in Japan for quite some time now, and it appears it's finally being brought west; in French at least.

Possibly the best aspect of this news is the strengthened hope that the manga will indeed see an English release in North America or Europe, similarly to how The Legend of Zelda manga has also recently seen English release.

The first volume will be available in France from March 12th. This seems like one to watch, and stick to C3 for updates. In the meantime, which of our Symphonia fans would plan on picking this up?

Thanks to GoNintendo.

I reckon I'd definitely try to get it if it was released in English. Smilie I still need to get the Zelda manga though...

U can read em online here in English:

Owning them is of course better though...

Yeah, I don't like reading manga online. Rather wait for an English release, even if it never comes. Smilie

Completely with Ikana on this one, infact I might even stop reading Pokémon Special online as there's a chance it'll get a new Viz translation soon Smilie

Loved the game so I probably would enjoy the manga quite a bit as well.

Merci beaucoup for the phrase, its far more fancy than "parfois".

When I was in France their were far more manga than the selection in Ireland, I still have a crappy Devil May Cry one (I wasn't able to read it when I bought it :lolSmilie. I'm not sure about the selection in England, but I presume its far better than over here. Is the Zelda OoT manga any use?

The Zelda OoT manga isn't really available in UK, other than online, since it's mainly distributed in North America.

When I went to Spain, most volumes of manga were tens ahead of English releases. There were already a good few volumes of Naruto Shippuden released, and this was 2 summers ago.

I am a fan of Manga to (and i may look this up...), but people, can we please stay focused on video games here Smilie

slightly off topic: Does anyone know if ToS: DotNW will actually come out in Europe, ima be pissed if i have to crawl back to EBAY. I had to do so with Super Star Ultra for the DS for EU were taking too long...

With my unprofessional informed guess, I'd say it won't be coming to Europe, at least not for a long time. Same can be said for Vesperia on 360...

Vesperia isn't region free, so we're fucked about that, but there are methods I intend to use to import ToS2.

This is why i hate the UK, why is it so useless. The only game i get to brag about getting before US is Fire Emblem: SD (owned America)

I think we should wait a little bit longer for ToS2, a few UK reviewers have recently reviewed the game, including Edge Magazine UK and Games Master UK, so maybe it'll see a release over here soon?

Regarding Vesperia? I'm not missing that, i said it, so thats how its going to be. I wasn't missing Secret of Mana for the SNES, so i hunted a copy down, i also wasn't missing Chrono Trigger, and here i am with a JAP copy (oh yes, i went there). If Vesperia doesn't come out in EU, i will find a way... even if it means doing the most extreme of things...

You can get the LoZ Manga in Forbidden Planet and Orbital Manga In London.

You can play import games using the homebrew channel, but maybe you already knew that and that's what you were implying... Smilie

I imported Tatsunoko vs Capcom and the US version of No More Heroes already, so if we're sure that ToS2 won't be coming to the EU, then i'll import it as well and that's it ! But for the time being i'll wait a bit longer. There was a rumor at some point in time, a few weeks ago in fact, that the game would be released in EU on February the 6th. This would tie in with the fact that Edge Magazine UK and Games Master UK have recently reviewed it like IxisNaugus said above. So i'll at least wait till March before deciding wether or not i'm importing it.

I was willing to import a Super Famicom classic controller and a VGA cable for my Wii already so i'd buy everything in one shot and pay for shipping to belgium only once Smilie

I blame Namcrap, not UK. For some reason they don't think it has an audience over here.

I don't plan on buying a US 360 to buy it.

It's times like these I wish it was on PS3, since I'll eventually get one of those and it's almost completely region free =D

Got the OOT Manga for Xmas - came from Amazon apparently Smilie Tis awesome, definitely worth a read - well thought out, sticks closely to the original story but expands and invents where needed!

Can't wait to grab a copy of vol2.
